The Borehole Project, also known as the Water Source Project, is a critical initiative by MACFO Uganda focused on providing clean and safe water to rural communities. In many parts of Uganda, access to clean water is a significant challenge, leading to waterborne diseases and a heavy burden on women and children who often have to travel long distances to fetch water.
Through the Borehole Project, we work to drill and install boreholes in areas where clean water sources are scarce or non-existent. Each borehole provides a reliable supply of safe drinking water, significantly improving the health and well-being of the community. By reducing the time spent on water collection, this project also allows children to attend school regularly and frees up time for women to engage in other productive activities.
The impact of the Borehole Project extends beyond just providing water; it enhances the overall quality of life for entire communities, fostering healthier, more resilient populations.
