The Environmental Sustainability Programme at MACFO Uganda is dedicated to protecting and preserving the natural environment while promoting sustainable development in rural communities. As climate change and environmental degradation increasingly threaten the livelihoods and health of Uganda’s rural populations, our programme focuses on mitigating these impacts through education, reforestation, and the promotion of sustainable practices. We believe that by empowering communities to protect their environment, we can ensure a healthier and more resilient future for all.
Objectives:
- To raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and climate change mitigation.
- To promote sustainable agricultural practices that protect the environment while improving food security.
- To support reforestation and afforestation efforts to restore degraded land and enhance biodiversity.
- To build community resilience to the impacts of climate change through education and capacity-building initiatives.
